Sesame Cabbage Salad

Oh boy…another cabbage recipe. I am going to lose credibility when I say, maybe this is the best cabbage recipe yet?!

I found the recipe on Chef Kla’s Instagram account. Chef Kla is Khristianne U., personal chef to celebrities who include the Kardashians (is it a coincidence that she also looks almost identical to Kris Kardashian and spells her name with a “K?”). Serendipity aside, Chef Kla says that “this is the best salad you’ll ever have” and she is not wrong. The first time I made it, I had to stop myself from finishing the bowl — half a head of green cabbage — so Gary could have some when he got home from hockey.

The only tip that needs sharing is that the cabbage should be sliced extremely thinly. Chef Kla used a handheld peeler/shredder (my Mom bought one of these at a market in Mexico, and I am kicking myself for not doing the same). Alternatively, you could carefully use a mandolin, or do as I did: slice the cabbage very thinly with a chef’s knife. Other than that, a few minutes after tossing the cabbage in the dressing, you will have a bowl of magic cabbage that I challenge you not to inhale. Enjoy!
