Banana Milk Espresso
This is my new afternoon pick-me-up that I thought would be fun to share.
The recipe is super simple, especially if you have an automated coffee maker that pulls a shot of espresso with just the push of a button (shout-out to my Gaggia Anima!). While the espresso cools, you blend the other ingredients to make the banana milk. You will have enough to make a second drink, so save your banana milk in the fridge to use the next day. Enjoy!
Banana Milk Espresso
Ingredients
- 1 shot espresso
- 1 ripe banana
- 4 pitted dates
- 3/4 c oat milk or any milk that you prefer
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- ice
Instructions
- Make a shot of espresso in an 8 oz glass and allow to cool while you prepare the rest of the recipe.
- Blend until smooth: banana, dates, milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Add ice to the espresso and then pour in the banana milk to fill the glass. Stir to mix and cool. Enjoy.
Notes
This recipe makes enough for two 8-oz glasses of Banana Milk Espresso. The banana milk can keep in the fridge for 2-3 days.
